The filter's capacity heavily depends on the hardness of your tap water (carbonate hardness).

Economical: Perfect if you use less than 2500-3000 liters of water per year for coffee or tea and steam. Since the filter should be replaced after 12 months for hygienic reasons anyway, a larger cartridge makes no sense for low consumption.
